We believe this program will give many people who are currently unemployed and who have little prospect for returning to work in their current situation greater job opportunities in the future.
Benedictine is putting “Illinois Back to Work” with a tuition-covered program
The “Illinois Back to Work” program helps unemployed Illinois residents earn a college degree by covering remaining tuition and fees after all eligible state
and federal aid is applied.
Qualified applicants must be Illinois residents 25 years of age and older who have been unemployed for at least 18 months and have not already earned a bachelor's degree. A number of factors are taken into consideration when determining awarding of Illinois Back to Work tuition grant. Factors considered include but are not limited to the following: EFC (Estimated family contribution as determined by results determined by the FAFSA), household size, spouse's income, work and academic history, interview and goals statement.
